Ok for the novice, will frustrate experienced CAD users I bought this software with high hopes but ultimately ended up returning it after running into limitations that made finishing my design project impossible. My situation: I am landscaping my backyard with 4 raised planter beds, a flagstone path, small paving stone ground-level patio, and a small fish pond in a raised planting bed surrounded by stone. Existing backyard features include a fence, tree, raised concrete porch attached to the back of my house.^M
Google's free home design software I can't speak to this product specifically, but a couple of years ago I bought a similar product from Punch software and gave up on it after a few days of trying to figure out how to use it. (And I'm very technical and generally good with new software).^M
BHG Landscaping and Deck Headaches This product lacks the common user friendly amenities found in virtually every other software product on the market. If you happen to scroll out of your 3D design, good luck trying to find a speck that is either your design or just a dirty screen. Be careful of the Undo button as there is no Redo! Don't expect to get much in the way of help from the "User Manual" either. ^M
